From the President
Dear Camp Family,
The words of a Christmas song express our deepest desires. "As we prepare to
celebrate the birth of our Lord, let us always remember why He came."
Luanne and I are looking forward to your return as we prepare for another
great camp meeting. Our workers are ready; the facilities are in excellent
shape; and our prayer times have begun. We know the Lord will bless in these
days.
We trust you had a blessed Christmas with family and friends, and that your
plans call for returning to Avon Park soon. Bring someone new with you this
year. But, in all your planning, don't forget why we come together. Target
your prayers toward someone who needs to know your Jesus.
We love you very much and thank you for many Christmas greetings.
Grace and peace,
-- El and Luanne

Camp Bible Study
Rev. Ray Bachman has been asked by the Camp to serve as the Bible study leader for the Tuesday morning sessions during January through March. His topic will be "Understanding Bible Prophecy Today."
This year will be Ray and Jeanne's sixth year at Avon Park Camp. He is a retired minister of The Missionary Church and now lives in Mountain Home, Arkansas. His study of prophecy has led him to write his latest book on the subject. It is titled The Love Letters of Jesus and was just released in late October. It deals with what Jesus requires as readiness for His return to Rapture His Bride. It is expected that the book will be available at the camp book store.
The first study of the winter will be on Tuesday, January 5, at 9 a.m.
Women's Auxiliary Welcome Back Tea
* Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at 2 p.m.
* Followed by the Annual Meeting.
Our new Vice President, Marilyn Brownrigg, will lead with the theme "Women With A Mission".
"Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds." Hebrews 10:24.
Thank God for a warm place to worship and praise Him with wonderful Christian fellowship during the winter months!
