From the President
Dear Camp Family,
This has been a full and wonderful summer of ministry for Luanne and me. God has honored the preaching of the Word, and many found help at camp meeting altars. Thank you for your covering of prayer.
It is now time for the next chapter of our lives. On September 1, I began as Associate Pastor of Missions and Life Groups at the South Lake Wales Church of God. We have been amazed how God opened doors at just the right time for this ministry. One of the great blessings of this ministry is that we can continue living in our house in Avon Park, and I can continue as President of the camp. Thank you Jesus for your faithfulness!
Scores of you have given financially to our ministry with World Gospel Mission, and we thank you for your sacrifice over the years. Those who gave life investments to our ministry have made it possible for us to continue receiving the income from those as payment for our supplemental health insurance. That is a huge gift! And those who gave monthly have made it possible for us to do future ministry on any of the WGM fields. You all have made our ministry possible!
It is now almost time for you to return to Avon Park for another glorious year of blessings. Please drive carefully, and bring a friend with you to experience the blessings of the Trinity.
Much love to all of you,
-- El and Luanne

As we return to Avon Park Camp we look forward to starting a new adventure in our Christian journey, working together as a team with all those involved in serving the people during Camp Meeting. We welcome any others who would like to be involved by helping in the kitchen or dining room.
Please pray for us as we serve the Lord in this new challenge.
"Serve whole heartedly as if you are serving the Lord, not men."

At the end of July, Paul and Wilma Divine (Mishawaka IN), Duane and Lois Hetmansperger (Auburn IN), Alvin and Donnabel Scheerer (Auburn IN) and John and Blanche Louthain (Warsaw IN) were blessed to attend a session of Friends of Israel at the Rodeheaver Auditorium, Winona Lake IN Christian Conference Center and then have lunch together. All but Divines then went blueberry picking at a nearby farm. Thank the Lord for this privilege to be together as Avon Park friends.

From the Camp Treasurer
Greetings from Indiana and headed for Florida next Wednesday.
God has continued to bless Avon Park Camp during these summer months through the commitment of our Continuing Donors. We have been able to meet our financial needs this summer, however we will have the large Fire and Security Assessment due in November.
I will be attending a seminar on Gift Annuities in Orlando on September 14 and 15. A Gift Annuity is a win-win program as provides a great income for life and a great opportunity to support Avon Park Camp.

We spent an "eventful" week in Haiti. Our cell phone did not work, but YOUR PRAYERS DID! After returning home, we left to minister at a Couples' Retreat, then had four days home before leaving for Brazil.

FOUR MORE SAINTS IN GLORY
Luanne and I are rejoicing that four more saints have completed the
race! All four lived for this moment, and though there is sorrow, there is
the incredible promise that they are rejoicing with Jesus forever!
John Butler: John served on the camp board for many years. I loved him
greatly, and miss his counsel.
Ellen Mishey: I loved seeing her return to camp because her youthful face
always brought a smile to the face of everyone.
Charlie Mishey: Always had a wonderful joke or story, and he was known as
our story-teller.
W.A. Amerson: I will never forget the first day I met him and Virginia.
They always lightened up a room they entered. Now, W.A. is rejoicing with
Virginia forever.
-- President Eldred Kelley
