Special Events
The primary event that takes place at the Avon
Park Interdenominational Conference Center is the Holiness Camp
Meeting. The camp starts the Thursday before the first Sunday in
February and runs for ten days. The 2007 Camp Meeting will be February
1-11.
Annual Ladies Retreat
A major highlight of the schedule each year is
the women’s retreat, sponsored by the Women’s
Auxiliary. The ladies’ retreat was founded in 1998 by Luanne
Kelley. Nationally known women speak throughout the retreat and singers
fill the air with music. The retreat is always held the last Saturday
in February, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with lunch included. The 2007
retreat will be February 24th. All women from the community are
invited. For more information, contact the camp office at 863-452-5353
or 863-453-6831.
Performing
Artists
On the Friday
night before the camp meeting
begins, performing guest artists are featured in a concert. The concert
begins promptly at 7:00 p.m. In addition, a Friday concert will be held
during the season. Watch local newspapers for dates and times for these
events.
