From Our President

Dear Avon Park Camp Family,

This is an exciting time of the year for Luanne and me because people are starting to return for the season. We love that sight! Here are some activities you will see when you arrive.

  • The grass is bright green. We have had a lot of rain, and I want to thank Steve and Rhonda Senter for scores of hours they each spent on lawn mowers. If you arrive during the dry season, it will seem impossible that all summer long, our lawns had to be mowed every week!
  • Dave and Delores, Gary and Rosa, and Rhonda provided outstanding leadership to several retreats during the hot summer months.
  • Bob and Bonnie have returned...both looking great.
  • Dale and Sue Oyer have added a new porch, laundry room/office, and a workshop to their park Model.
  • Art and Donna Bridger are here remodeling their home. It's going to be a show-place!
  • Sonny and Dianne are both recovering nicely from their respective surgeries.
  • And last Sunday, we hosted the City-wide Avon Park Day of Prayer at our Tabernacle. It was a tremendous joy to worship with all colors of people and all shades of theological persuasion! God was lifted up and honored. It was like a little bit of Heaven.

Luanne and I are doing well after a tremendous summer. We didn't realize how much we needed the summer away to catch up with ourselves. Thanks for praying for us, and we ask you to continue.

Each time I think deeply about this great camp, I think of the first message sent over the original Telegraph. This was that message: "What hath God wrought?" Every time we worship together, we see new wonders from the hand of the Father and I thank Him afresh for what He has wrought.

In deep Christian love,

-- El and Luanne Kelley

Thank You Notes

Thank you for your prayer support during this past year. We went to the Mayo Clinic in September, had a P.E.T. Scan, and it was negative! Praise the Lord!

From Our Missionaries

We are so appreciative of your faithfulness to us and we thank you for standing with us as together we reach the Nations for Christ.

We remember our time at Avon Park with great fondness and have read the books we purchased there and listened to the tapes as we have traveled! Hearing the great messages more than one time really helps cement the information inside us! What a great time it was worshipping together.

It is truly our pleasure to be your missionaries to Mozambique.

Mark 2:5

And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”

The Strange Preacher's Kid

When we come to Jesus, he sees our faith; He meets our greatest need, forgiveness. Any other healing He offers is secondary.

Let us treasure our fellowship with Him as first and uttermost in our lives.

-- PAB

The Lord continues to bless Avon Park Holiness Camp financially through you very faithful supporters. Our summer months are a big challenge, however, from May through August this year the Contributions are up 25%. Thank You, Partners in Ministry.

Since we began the Gift Annuity Program 10 years ago we have 32 participants. This program is a great way to provide a financial blessing to Avon Park Camp in the future, plus you receive a good return on your investment. If you would like a proposal of the possible return of 6 1/2% to 10% please feel free to contact me.

Thank you for your faithfulness.

-- Bob and Bonnie Hudson
