From Our PresidentDear Camp Family, Luanne and I greet you in the wonderful name of Jesus. Every day is a new opportunity to live for the King of Kings! We trust your summer plans are developing with family and friends, and encourage your personal growth time to include prayer and Bible study. As many of you know, I previously cancelled my preaching schedule for this summer because I needed time to recuperate physically from a tough winter. Apparently, I did not take enough hydrocortisone at the time of my back surgery, and it has taken months to begin to feel normal again. Praise God for great doctors and the medication that keeps me alive. Now, it is time for summer camp meetings. Please cover your camp with prayer and support its workers in every way possible. Every year, it seems there are more enemies of camp meetings, and leaders everywhere need extra prayer support. I am excited that Avon Park Camp people are involved in camp meetings all summer long. Here at the camp, God is blessing in outside retreats because of our camp staff. I can't say enough praise for Dave and Dolores and Gary and Rosa. When you think of them, thank God for sending them to our camp. They are incredible servants of God. May the Lord bless each of you and watch over your family. And may you spend time in personal devotion so that you have the eternal resources to help those with special concerns. Luanne and I love each of you and look forward to your return to Avon Park. Because of Jesus,
-- El and Luanne Kelley Thank You NotesThank you for your prayer support during this past year, especially for our son who was in a terrible motorcycle accident. He returned to work a few weeks ago after several surgeries and being out of work for 10 months. He is praising the Lord for His goodness to him. How we praise the Lord for His watchcare.
-- Tom and Elaine Boring Thank you for the many prayers lifted up for healing in behalf of our son-in-law, David Cross, and also for your many prayers, e-mails, and cards sent in sympathy at his death. We also appreciate your loving concern for our daughter, Christy, and her family. What would we do without GOD and our Christian friends in these times.
-- Jack and Dorothy Luckert Prayer OpportunitiesPlease pray for Jean Alexander, Mary Allen, Roger and Marilyn Blackburn, Gary & Viola Case, Dolores Coller, Flornell (Flossie) Coller, Roy Dettwiler, Louise Fitzgerald, Len and Joanne Gamber, Lois Hetmansperger, Imogene James, Eldred & Luanne Kelley, Jane Kunze, Marion Lewton, John and Blanche Louthain, Kathy Patterson, Glenna Shook, Doris Smith, and Alwilda Warner. From Our Missionaries![]() Dear Avon Park friends, THANK YOU For our your prayers for us!! We feel them. Jesus is giving us some new opportunities in relationships to share Him and see Him working. One of the nurses at the orthodontist's office had a headache the last time we were in. I’ve had opportunities earlier to talk to her about Jesus and when I saw her again later in the week, she said, “I’m better.” I said, “I prayed that Jesus would help you.” She said, “I know!” He’s working!!!!! Jesus is helping our girls and we are thankful! We see daily answers to prayer!!! Lots and lots of love, -- Dan and Katy Beth Searls
